Seed Sack Cropped Tunic

Made from an old, worn brome grass seed sack (there are several holes, some that have been patched), this cropped tunic is held together with two triangular stitches. The wordsbrome grass are printed in green and can be seen very faintly on one side of the tunic.
Comes with cotton rope to tie up the sleeves or use as a belt.

Seed Bead Necklace

A necklace made from yucca cordage, Job's Tears seeds (which naturally grow with a hole through the middle) arranged from light to dark, and a found stick. The closure is the notch on the stick that snugly holds the cordage.

Dun Market is a place where I can offer up the accessories I make out of natural and found materials. Many of the plant materials come from my backyard. Cordage from the fibers of the yucca plant is the base of many of my pieces. Animal materials are food by-products (co-products?) or second-hand.

I take inspiration from the bounty of the earth and the ancient methods of celebrating and utilizing these gifts. My goal is to use materials that have a rich (and possibly forgotten) history in fresh, minimalistic ways that let their story shine through.
